Welcoming the New Year with a Fragrant and Colorful Tradition All photos by Yasuto Tana The first Tournament of Roses parade was organized when members of the Valley Hunt Club in Pasadena, California, wanted to showcase the rich array of colorful mid-winter blooms to visiting friends from the East coast.
